Great cycling, Great Location, Great Weather, Great Accommodation, Great Food!

John Fegan

What we can say about Train in Spain is that it was set up to give road cyclists the chance to enjoy some of the best cycling in the world while enjoying good accommodation, food and weather. We understand that cyclists have a choice of where they can go, so we aim to ensure you leave with happy memories and a wish to come back again. We do this by being professional and friendly in all that we do – the cycling experience will take care of the rest. Have a look at our Testimonials page for typical guest feedback.

Our clients range from active racers and experienced veterans to cyclists rediscovering the sport, weekend warriors and triathletes. What they have in common is a desire to experience riding in an area that most of the pro peloton consider ‘the best winter training base in Europe’ Brunyeel. Many clients use our camps and breaks as part of their preparation for sportives such as the Étape du Tour, the Quebrantahuesos and La Marmotte as well as big UK events such as the Fred Whitton and the Dragon Ride.

All of our rides are conducted in a relaxed and friendly manner although a competitive element is never far away for those that seek it – all in all it is the perfect environment in which to test yourself and move towards your cycling goals.

Our standard Winter and Spring service includes airport transfers to and from Denia, accommodation in an excellent hotel, plus friendly and professional guides that know the routes and pace the rides. On our coaching camps we provide a support vehicle to carry water, spare clothes, food, first aid kit etc. The support vehicle is also available during cycling breaks throughout the year for an additional cost (please ask).

For guests looking for an alternative to the hotel we also have self-catering apartment options and can rent villas for larger groups if required.

Best Office in the World

John Fegan set up Train in Spain after cycling and guiding groups on the Costa Blanca for several years. Having spent many years as a sports journalist in Caracas, as well as a marketing and communications manager for Price Waterhouse and Norwich Union in London, he is now revelling in the freedom of his office being the great outdoors. John is also a qualified masseur and deep tissue remedial massage therapist – something that many of the cyclists benefit from after a few days training here. John’s wife, Maria, is also a trained masseuse and can also provide a variety of beauty services to any ladies in the group from her Revive salon at our Café Ciclista in Denia.
